CME Students Visit Nokia Munich
On June 4, 2025, students from the ASC and CME programs embarked on an inspiring visit to Nokia’s Munich site, where they explored the forefront of technological innovation. The day featured a packed agenda of insightful presentations and interactive demos.
Talks were led by distinguished FAU alumni Arman Ahmadzadeh (CME), Afsaneh Gharouni (CME) and Anil Kirmaz (ASC) who covered topics such as 6G air interface visions, AI in next-generation networks, and Nokia’s innovation and licensing strategies. Diomidis Michalopoulos opened the session with a deep dive into global technology standards, while Astrid Keibel shared insights into career options at Nokia.
The visit culminated in hands-on demos at Nokia’s Digital Creativity Lab, where students experienced the ‘Mobility Metaverse’ and ‘MXIE’ projects firsthand.
